Jim Jacobsen is the founding partner at Industry Partners, where he leads and oversees the company’s landlord and tenant services, as well as the company’s operating partner functions in conjunction with institutional investors and pension funds. Since starting the firm in 2011, Industry Partners has risen to become a top performing company, highly specialized in the development and leasing of quality creative office space in Los Angeles. Jim is an early adopter and advocate of sustainable development and adaptive reuse, and has played a leading role in the sale and repurposing of millions of square feet of classic industrial and warehouse buildings. As a result of his client-focused commitment, he has maintained long-term relationships with companies such as The Lionstone Group, J.J. Abrams, Jerry Bruckheimer, POP Sound, Imagines Films and The Mill. Jim received his BA from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is a member of LACRA, the Santa Monica Conservancy, City of Hope, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Hammer Museum and Oceana North America.

Jim received his BA from the University of California at Los Angeles and lives in the Brentwood neighborhood with his wife Dana and their son.

Scott Rigsby is a founding partner of Industry Partners, an entrepreneurial real estate services firm specializing in the representation of landlords, tenants and developers with a particular focus on creative work environments and adaptive reuse projects in West Los Angeles. Previously, he was vice president of Lee& Associates/West Los Angeles. One of Lee & Associates top-ranked producers, he was responsible for closing over a million square feet of creative office space transactions in West Los Angeles for media and tech clients, as well as retail. Scott offers extensive office and creative space experience, in addition to expertise in the areas of development, design and space planning.
Scott graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Finance. Scott currently lives in the Pacific Palisades and has two children.

During his15 -year career in West Los Angeles he has completed more than five million square feet of lease and sale transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $1B.

Travis strives to provide unparalleled service while finding the best operational solution for his clients. Prior to Industry Partners, Travis was a director at Madison Partners in West Los Angeles. Travis received a BS in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Finance from the University of Colorado in Boulder. Travis lives in the Pacific Palisades with his wife and two kids, is an avid surfer and golfer.

Carle Pierose is a partner at Industry Partners and has been an early champion of the movement towards creative work environments. Previously Carle was a Director at the Charles Dunn Company where he earned “Rookie of the Year” honors in 2004 and was a Principal at Creative Space, which he co-founded in 2009. Carle joined Industry in 2012 to open and manage the firm’s downtown office and has been at the forefront of the city center’s revitalization while continuing to represent distinctive properties throughout the city. He has completed over $2 billion in transactions in his 20+ year career and enjoyed working with some of the brightest innovators in fashion, entertainment, media and design. A Los Angeles native, University of Southern California alumnus and continual student of the city’s unique history and emerging trends, he has an intimate knowledge of his township and is personally invested in its future.

Robert D. Erickson is a partner with Industry Partners. Before joining Industry Partners, Robert was a Principal at Lee & Associates-LA North/Ventura Inc. and a Director at Cushman & Wakefield. Robert specializes in the sale and leasing of office properties throughout Los Angeles, his current and past agency assignments include Landlords such as The Lionstone Group, Equity Office, Kennedy Wilson, Rising Realty Partners, GE/Arden Realty and VDA Property Company to name a few. A sample of past tenant engagements include VCA, Technicolor, The Walt Disney Company, Momentous Insurance, Ikon Office Solutions, and the Panasonic Corporation. Mr. Erickson offers a range of services including lease negotiations, evaluation, analysis and examination of relocation alternatives and the design and implementation of acquisition and divestiture strategies as well as marketing plans to ensure maximum exposure and returns for property sales and leasing. Bryan attended The Master’s College on a full ride baseball scholarship and, upon graduation, was invited to spring training with the Colorado Rockies. Unable to continue his baseball career due to an injury, Mr. Carnes turned his attention to commercial real estate where he has applied his competitive spirit to the art of deal making. Before joining Industry Partners, Bryan was an associate at Lee & Associates-LA North/Ventura Inc, where he assisted tenants in identifying new locations, assessing their office space needs and negotiating favorable lease terms, and he has represented landlords in developing and executing lease-up strategies and prospecting and recruiting new tenants. His diligence at canvassing prospective tenants and researching competitive assets has generated numerous leads and options for clients and assists to successfully close transactions.

Richard Abbitt is a nationally recognized visionary and real estate broker. To deepen his understanding of real estate, Chris earned a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California (USC). Leveraging the knowledge and skills gained at USC, he consulted the leadership teams of two high-net-worth family offices on diverse real estate matters, including acquisitions, asset management, and leasing.

Nicolas Zuniga is an Urban Planner / Market & Development at Industry Partners. His responsibilities include leading GIS projects and market research initiatives including quantitative analysis in commercial real estate, economic and demographic information. Before joining Industry Partners, Nicolas was a Project Coordinator in multifamily development projects at LENA Group, Inc. where he overview design and specifications of nearly 400 residential units. Nicolas also contributed to multiple research projects with LA’s City Planning Department, and UCLA’s Center for Mexican Studies, Labor Center, and Asian American Studies Center. While at the City Planning Department he conducted a study to track air rights transactions in Downtown Los Angeles and provide with recommendations for the future of the ordinance. He is eager to continue expanding his experience in market research and development in Los Angeles. Nicolas earned a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from UCLA in 2013, and holds a BA in architecture from the University of Monterrey, in Mexico.
